I could use some uplifting stories, interesting facts, or good news today. What's good?
@ajroach42 A couple of weeks ago I saw a digital billboard at the next city's culture hall about a missing cat, blind and in need of medication. That led me to see their advert for a position to an apprenticeship which they showed right afterwards.
Several things happened, some of which I just looked up:
1. The reason that the culture hall advertised the missing cat is likely because he strolls around the area and kinda became their mascot.
2. The cat was picked up by a woman
3. The lady was seen doing so, and the animal welfare orgs in the area made an appeal to please bring him back
4. Apparently she noticed and the cat is now back with his family.
And also: I pointed out that job opening to a friend of mine who was looking for just that type of work (and apprenticeship to go with it) and who has, by now, already progressed in the hiring process there (not quite there yet, fingers crossed!).
So: cat is safe and sound (as much as possible at 16, blind and with high blood pressure), and I might not have noticed the job advert without the eye-catcher of a cat photo.
