Someone on Discord asked for a video of how the flickering light of my stained glass dungeon tiles look.
So here's a video! The tiles are made out of hot-glued cardboard, masking tape, craft foam, and colored plastic. Very easy and quick to make, and (I think) it adds a lot of ambiance to the dungeon presentation!
Gonna use these to play "Fable on your Table" 2e some more tonight!

Shadowdark RPG - Opinions?
Has anyone tried this game? It’s yet another take on modernizing OSR, which apparently has gathered a few enthusiastic players.
I’ve heard that it doesn’t do anything new, but what is there, it’s excellent. I’ve been feeling the itch for a dungeon crawl for quite some time now (all my parties have been playing narrative-heavy DnD5e/5.5 and it’s becoming a bit stale tbh), so I wanted to master something different. Do you have experience with Shadowdark? Would you recommend it? Is there something I should pay attention to? Tips on how to run OSR?

Bin übrigens ganz ernsthaft der Meinung, dass #Brettspiele & RL - #RPG wegen der um sich greifenden, digitalen #Vereinsamung sozial & kulturell an Bedeutung gewinnen werden.
Das zwischenmenschliche Miteinander, auch das #Spielen , gehören schon jetzt zu den wichtigsten Fähigkeiten gegen die #Verrohung durch antisoziale #Konzernmedien & deren algorithmisches #Neurohacking samt Schüren von #Empörungssucht.
Erst am Freitag (30.1.) eröffnet das Shenanigans - Kölns erster Eskapismus-Pub. Wir durften aber heute schonmal für einen Sneak Peak rein.
Gut, es war gar nicht so sneaky und es auch war auch nicht peaky - es wurde ehrlicherweise einfach stundenlang gespielt!
Schaut doch ab Freitag mal im Shenanigans vorbei! Ronja und Marlon bauen da im Herzen von Köln etwas ganz Fantastisches auf!

Dear #TTRPG #RPG folks, I'm seriously considering getting back into GM'ing at some point. Problem is, it's been 3 decades and my standard has changed more than my personality over that span. I want to approach this with as much theory as creativity.
I am also simply in need of a theoretical deep dive.
I would like to hear your suggestions of books (edit: print much preferred) that can help me get into good #GM'ing and #storytelling please!

Shadowrun 1e GM Advice
Hello!
I am a fairly new GM, and have only ran a few sessions of CY_BORG. I’ve played in many home TTRPG games (mostly DnD 5e) and have familiarized myself (through reading rather than experience sadly) with some fundamental RPG design and GM advice. My issue is, at the time I went to the game store to pick up RPG books, I wasn’t knowledgeable on Shadowrun and the editions/universe other than the fact I wanted to run it some day.
I have now realized, after buying the book and past the possibility of return, that I have bought the reprint of Shadowrun 2050 (1e) which appears to be the most complicated and problematic of the games in terms of system. That being said, I’d still like to run this some day and I’m mostly fine with a bit of complexity and crunch in an RPG. I was wondering, though, if there was a way that I could sort of build up to running something like Shadowrun?
Running not only a very rules heavy system but also a world with something complicated like The Matrix in it is pretty daunting compared to most RPG systems I’ve been interested in, so I’m a bit lost on resources to help guide me. It also doesn’t help that even among old school Shadowrun fans 1e seems to be the least played edition.

gaming plans: we're going to play #Blackout, a one-shot #rpg about women civil defence workers during the London blitz. The players are going to design a community full of people they love. And then its going to be bombed and set on fire while they exhaust themselves and break trying to save people.
