On a whim, I booked two nights in a guest house in the middle of nowhere in countryside France. The main target is comet Lemmon. I carry my Starwatcher star adventurer 2i including the aluminum tripod, my camera with several big lenses and a camping battery.
I. Don't. Drive. 馃槄
Wish me luck, and clear nights.
Last night was an emotional rollercoaster 馃槄 . Very good first lights, finished the setup ~10pm and went back to my room. At midnight I found the lens obscured by dew. My bad, I forgot to put the warming strip. Only 25 minutes of good data 馃槩. Brought back the cam inside and set an alarm for 4am to try to catch the comet. At 4am, the thickest fog had set, I wasn't seeing the end of the garden, let alone the sky. Round 2: tonight.
(And something wrong with my flats)

@temptoetiam lights=les vrai photos qu'on prend de l'objet qu'on vise,
flats=des photos de calibrage o霉 on pointe l'appareil vers une lumi猫re blanche uniforme, pour pouvoir soustraire les imperfections optiques de l'objectif.
(Et il y a aussi les darks=photos toutes noires avec le cache sur l'objectif pour soustraire le bruit num茅rique du capteur de l'appareil photo).
Y avait autre chose de jargoneux? 馃槄
