@happyborg google update their android 3 years, I used to have issues with samsung, they were not publishing newest android for the phone.

And I dont like awkward apps, every phone maker have their own version of sms/mail apps or browser, with pixel they are more stable and not too funky. And most important is pixel is like android playground, did not have app compatibility issues
