If we want real energy security, affordable and predictable prices, a lower risk of blackouts, and less climate chaos, new fossil gas deals are the opposite of what we need.
Real energy security comes from renewables, not from switching gas suppliers.

To be fair, the EU has gone from under 10% renewables to over 25% in two decades, so that's something. Plus, their recent growth has been surpassing targets.
@greenpeace Sadly, you can’t change your industry dependence on gas overnight. Industries can’t throw away their ovens or boilers that easily. It’s expensive and complicated. And sadly again, everything related to non renewable energy sources, specially oil and gas, is in the hand of a few shady actors.
The EU is between a rock and a hard place. The switch to renewables is there, but switching the energetic paradigm of the whole block will be slow and painful.
