I have difficulty with defining the essential difference between Pinterest and Instagram in the way how I use Pinterest (algorithmic feed of images tailored to my previous likes and searches), and therefore I can consider the Fediverse replacement for Pinterest is more or less already exists, it is Pixelfed.
Of course I could miss something important in Pinterest features or different ways to use it.

@CleanWeb No, Pinterest != Instagram. They work very differently and serve different use cases.
@jaredwhite The one feature I want #Pinterest to implement right now is a "Flag as AI" button. And maybe a filter to match.
Right now I'm just Reporting all AI content at Conspiracy Theory because there's no real option to report it otherwise. 😩
@matt Pinterest being filled with AI slop makes no more sense to me than if Etsy started saying hey, we're going to compete with Temu now.
Like it's so antithetical to the point of what it was originally supposed to be, it makes my head spin. 😵💫
