All this rain has the plum crop exploding, not in a good way
About 2/3 of the crop has split.

Red plums, all with splits in the skin showing yellow flesh

Todays plum prep realization: Cutting around & twisting easily obtains one stoneless half.
Stony halves are destined for jam & sauce, stoneless for stewed fruit & puddings.
