@europeanspodcast there is 0 possibility this is a real screenshot, look at the icon after Macrons name its not even aligned. My guess is that the text was written by a person who then sent it to an AI who made a weird attempt at making a text message interface
@liaizon Not sure about the screenshot itself, but Macron's team have confirmed that the message itself is legit:
Why would Macron start a text message "from président Macron to President Trump" and use this wrong accent mark and lower case p to refer to himself and then not do that for Trump? It just screams fake to me, maybe the team just decided to run with it even if it was fake?
@liaizon @europeanspodcast Nah. At larger text sizes, that “in your contacts” icon does get cut off in Signal. Also, due to the fricken sensor suite/“dynamic island,” the name is gonna be lower in the screenshot (and everything is left aligned away from the buttons to the right).

@europeanspodcast i always find it fascinating that this is how they actually communicate - geopolitics via text message.
