By the way, I recently logged in to my Vivaldi sync account on my MacBook Air, but none of my web history synced over from the same Vivaldi account I use on my iMac. This isn’t the first time I’ve lost history like this with Vivaldi. Why doesn’t it sync?
Browsing history is synced while you keep Sync active on all devices.
Now that you've been logged in to Sync for a bit, do you see new history entries being synced?
@Vivaldi No, the history is not syncing. I use four Vivaldi Sync accounts, and the problem is persistent across all profiles.
When I'm signed into a Vivaldi Sync profile on my iMac and MacBook Air, the history syncs. When I sign out of the profile on both computers, and then sign back in, the history is nearly 100% missing, with just pockets of some recent visits showing.
For other accounts I haven't used recently, the history is 100% gone.
This problem has persisted for several years.
@Vivaldi That's why I don't use Vivaldi as my default browser anymore (only when I need Chromium, do I use it).
I like having my browsing history securely synced, so I can re-visit some of what is of interest to me, no different than opening a YouTube video and immediately closing it to watch-back later from my history when I have time. That's also my habit with blogs or articles I want to read later.
With Safari and Firefox, two browsers I use most, I've never had problems with lost history.
Can you clarify this bit a little more:

It's expected that the browser history you generate while you're logged out isn't synced, but are you saying that when you log back in and start Sync, previously synced browser history goes missing?
