Man, was doing some light investigation around smart garage door openers, as might consider replacing our old openers when getting insulated doors... and see that Chamberlain are still raging assholes. Sheesh. Probably eventually do genie wall mounts... want something I can without too much fuss get integrated into HA.

@jfro I had an OpenGarage but it wasn't winter-hardy. When the temperature dropped below zero, it randomly triggered the garage door. I then installed a RATGDO and was instantly thrilled. However, the Security 3+ nonsense has made that much worse now.
@jfro I have had a really good experience with this RATGDO device: https://paulwieland.github.io/ratgdo/
I had a MyQ/Chamberlain opener at one point but when they closed their API I got the RATGDO. This thing integrates seamlessly into HA and gave more control and info than MyQ ever did.
It might take some research because I think I remember hearing the garage door companies might have tried to change their systems to prevent a middle man device like RATGDO from working.
@jshusky problem is they broke it for I assume newer openers or maybe software updated ones this past December. I may still find use of it for a different opener tho as it sounds like it can do others.
