Today marks the first anniversary of my own #selfhosted little #fediverse instance! 馃帀
Like a lot of folks, I joined the Fediverse in late 2022 with an account on mastodon.social, before finally deciding to leave behind the endless drama of Big Instance Life for good, and set up my own.
I followed @jroquet's very sound advise (thanks again! 馃槃 ) and turned to @gotosocial's great implementation, which turned out to be the exact shape of what I was looking for: easy to install, lightweight and low maintenance.
One year later, I can add to the list that it's also been been rock solid, with regular, painless updates, so kudos to the team and contributors!
