I’ve been building Pixelfed since April 2018, and Loops has taught me a lot too. There was a brief stretch where I lost myself and made choices I’m not proud of.

But I’ve grown — a lot.

Seeing people who once wanted Loops defunded now reaching out to collaborate is a big deal.

Good leadership is accountability, maturity, and moving forward.

Let's make 2026 the year of the fediverse, together ❤️

@dansup That's a nice toot. I've been following along almost the whole time. The principals of Pixelfed and Loops are thrilling. You've done a good job creating, advocating, and adapting while being open, honest, and positive. Well done. Keep up the good work.

@dansup As a Crowdfunding supporter, I see the need to get Loops & Pixelfed to the Apple & Google app-stores. But in order to make 2026 better, I want to see it free from Trump-supporters, via the F-Droid app-store, as soon as you can do that. #DiDay

@dansup Thanks! The push for that is part of what we call #DigialIndependence, even more of a necessity now that the Trump folks are threatening #Greenland in case #Venezuela wasn't enough to divert attention away from the files.
