There are so many FCC comment periods that will close right at the beginning of January, on really stupid, short-sighted, make-billionaires-richer things they want to do with loosening the already incredibly loose regulations for satellites. I am tired. But I have to write stuff for these, because it's the one and only way to formally protest. Fuck.

I'm well aware how this shit feels - when the government is adamant on doing billionaires a favor, they'll do it regardless - with absurd reasons. So it feels so hollow and pointless.
But as an onlooker... There's so much corruption, so many opportunities. It's very sad every time. But when experts in the field call this out, it gives me reassurance and confidence. It's like, guess bureaucrats suck everywhere, but at least the experts are good people with hear in the right place 💜

HEADS UP that the FCC comment period for Reflect Orbital first hideously bright, ecology-disrupting satellite will open probably in mid- to late-January. I'm gonna need EVERYBODY to write in for that one.
@sundogplanets How "hideously bright" are we talking? Sirius bright? Venus bright? Full Moon bright?
