@fahrni @JonathanGerlach the disturbing thing is how it isn't an exaggeration to how some of these people think because they're so far gone from reality, IMO. Don't even need to be a billionaire, really - probably only requires making maybe $300k+/year in a lower cost of living area for that $10k/month fun money thing to be a reality as long as you aren't house-poor (which, to be fair, is a situation a lot of upper-class-types constantly get themselves into).
@bigzaphod @fahrni I had a coworker who was somehow thriving on the same paycheck I made and I was like ???. I later found out his parents had helped him with his down payment, so his mortgage was half of mine.
Another time I was working for a guy in his late 20s who had retired from Wall St finance "work". He cut back on his NYC cab rides and saved more money than my salary.
