@arstechnica The city and state can equip all of their vehicles with this tech.
We don't need or want more surveillance in consumer vehicles though. There's already too much data collection and zero meaningful consumer protection.
The very next step they do with this is monetize the data and sell it to a broker who will sell it to anybody who wants it for any purposes legal or otherwise.
