The U.S. Army is reportedly recommending that American soldiers stationed in Germany go to the Tafel (a German food bank) because they’re no longer getting paid.
Right. Food banks are meant to support people in need. They’re already over capacity, and now soldiers from the richest country in the world are showing up? @randahl

This reminds me of a novel I read about the fall of Roman Brittan. Once the legions stop getting paid and fed, the empire is over, bar the shouting.
