I'm surprised no mayor has just brought out backhoes in the middle of the night to tear up the streets in a full perimeter around ICE facilities. Just shut the whole area down.

@freakazoid At the height of COVID-19's scare in China, several Chinese villages did exactly this: dug up 100+ metres of every road leading into town, leaving a field of boulders and mud in place of the road, doing this because they didn't trust what was going on and decided they'd self-isolate to avoid infection.
It seems Chinese peasant farmers are braver facing their legendarily authoritarian government than western urbanites are facing theirs down.
Pity.
