Arnie a complex political beast but yep this definitely shows his allegiance to the GOP Trumps his allegiance to the republic.
@span dangillmor Or maybe he genuinely thinks Newsom's plan is not an effective way to fight Trump? Schwarzenegger is the guy who passed prop 11 to take redistricting authority away from legislators in the first place and passed prop 14 to establish open primaries in Cal. Newsom is the guy who vetoed #rankedchoicevoting and went on the Charlie Kirk show to see if throwing trans people under the bus would boost his numbers. One of these guys is an opportunistic partisan hack and it's not Arnold.
