Meeeeeehhhh, why do 
Van Gölü Ekspresi and the 
Van - Tehran Ekspresi only run that rarely and why do they run exactly on dates causing me to wait three days in Turkey ? That makes 6 nights for crossing Turkey from Dimitrovgrad to Tabritz, that's a lot considering it's only 1000 km.
Question to the experienced #Turkey travelers here :
- The Van Gölü Ekspresi arrives at Tatvan at 13:44.
- The Van Tehran Ekspresi leaves Van at 21:00
Does the Lake Van Ferry run according to the mainline schedules and ensures transfer between the two trains ? I mean, it's operated by as well.
@lewd I have travelled on that train back in 2019. Then already was there no ferry connection, apparently Turkish Rail has sold the ferry to a private company that ever since runs the boats once they are full. I ended up hitchhiking around the lake, but there is also somewhat frequent bus services.
