Apparently it’s #WorldCancerDay, so… hi 👋 I’m your poster child for why you should get screened - whatever your doctor says you’re due for, DO IT.
If I had gotten screened a little earlier, my cancer journey would have been done and dusted in a matter of weeks. If I had waited until I had symptoms, I’d be dead.

However uncomfortable screening can be, it's nothing compared to having cancer.
Please get screened.
Everyone has a story about cancer.
A parent.
A friend.
A loved one.
In 2024 alone, there were 2.7 million new cancer cases diagnosed and 1.3 million cancer-related deaths.
This is why prevention, early detection, care, and research matter, and why we have invested €2.7 billion here.
Today, on World Cancer Day, we mark 5 years of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan.
We are investing and working with hundreds of partners to build a healthier Europe. 🎗️
