Today, the next release of monocles chat is finally ready and published, and will be available in stores in the next few days. It is a huge update with three fundamental new features:
Stories, Feeds, and Phone log.
In addition to many other improvements and features such as account sorting and improved message deletion, this update also brings new support for multiple XEPs. Thanks to the standardization of XMPP, it is now possible to interact socially with other XMPP platforms and messengers. The new features bring more functions that are fully compatible with the XMPP web platform @movim Create your stories today or make a post for your contacts in monocles chat or Movim.

When you are mentioned in a chatroom or when a contact sends you a message Movim now displays a direct shortcut to the latest conversations allowing you to go to the related discussion in one click! How convenient! 😸

Some of you might have experienced difficulties to open Movim as a Progressive Web App on your Android device 🤖
There is a know issue on Chrome related to that https://issues.chromium.org/issues/466790291 , lets hope its being fixed soon 😬
A workaround has been pushed to master, please clear your application cache to deploy it ☺️

Just upgraded the Movim instance https://movim.pimux.de to 0.32.1 - looks great!
The userbase still is small but the features loko promising. For chatting XMPP already is sleak and fast - Movim adds the social network feeling to it. Maybe you want to give it a try.

We improved the way to follow, publish, upload share and comment content 🗒️but also redesigned the chat layout 🗨️, refactored the end-to-end-encryption code 🔒, improved our bridges integration 🌉, dropping dependencies 🧹 and improving video-conferencing performances 📹
