I think you might be conflating v2/v3 here.
Issue *was* raised extensively during #GPLv3 drafting in 2007.
The “joke” appeared in #GPLv2's addendum in 1992 — but RMS wrote v2 alone.
Sadly I'm not surprised no one in FOSS in 1992 complained.
Also keep in mind the slur was mostly common only in the USA South & was out of common usage even there by the late 1980s.
I know (anecdotally) — because it sounds like my last name — how few white people have ever heard it.

Feel free to come back once you got something productive to bring to the table, except ticking the box for "cringe Stallman-esque GPLnazi" cuz your arguments make you sound like the kind of toxic folks that make it really hard to convince someone to ever do FLOSS at all.
If you want to make ends meet writing code then I'm sorry to pop that bubble but aside from #CCSS there's hardly any chance that happens.
So yeah, if you want to get paid then #AGPLv3 won't do that either!
As for me: I'm busy beyond #WageWork, and the reasons are literally NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!
@bkuhn @mastohost @eruwero @maybeanerd well, I merely refer to the fact that most.companies I've had to deal with won't touch #AGPLv3 because it's provisions are incompatible with #IP laws and #patents as well as #licensing.

GrapheneOS: Where Licenses Matter More Than People
GrapheneOS could have shipped real accessibility support. They had a screen reader. They had a libre speech engine — one they requested a feature from. They got that feature.
And then they said no.
Because the license was GPLv3.
They’ll ship sandboxed Google Play Services.
They’ll let you install GPLv3 software from their app store.
But a working screen reader for blind users?
Blocked. On principle.
This isn’t a technical limitation.
This is not a matter of priorities.
This is cruelty by ideology — and they’re proud of it.
So here it is. My full public dissection of the excuses, the hypocrisy, and the sheer contempt they’ve shown to the people who need privacy and security most: the disabled.
They chose licensing purity over basic humanity.
