@span Dendrobatus_Azureus@bsd.cafe @span dendrobatus_azureus@polymaths.social @span stefano this one is 62 years old. It was running fine except for the fact that the aging mainspring could not provide a full day worth of energy anymore. I got it serviced 3 months ago and it is back to peak shape.
@stefano These were very popular when I was young.

@stefano such a good choice! I had an automatic Citizen (old thing, got it from my dad when I was a kid) and that thing was absolutely indestructible! Tons of scratches and scars but super reliable - I loved it.
Unfortunately I lost it on a beach many years ago 😭

@stefano Oohhh very nice! I like Longines - a very understated design philosophy. I took the plunge and bought myself a mechanical watch for my 60th. Amazing freedom not having to charge my watch every night.
@stefano Yeah - there’s something about a mechanical watch…it’s almost like it’s got a soul or a heart…even a personality:-)
@stefano I do! Longiness made some beautiful timepieces. You seem to have gotten yourself one of those ;p
