My company awards points for things like work anniversaries and you can redeem those points for things like gift cards or random items and it's honestly a bizarre assortment of items with illogical point values, so it will be like...
Items available for 500 points:
5-piece luggage set
Hamster cage
Cheese grater
Virtual massage
(Okay, virtual massage is fake but there are a lot of virtual "experiences" on here that are like wahhhhhh?)
Anyway, I’m using this as an opportunity to terrify my husband about the things I may potentially be bringing into our household, like "It looks like I have enough points to get a hamster cage and a gift card to Petco!!! I wonder how many hamsters we can get for $100?"
@Alice Work started a long service reward scheme. I got £200. But not to spend on something myself, and not part of a bigger thing - they had to do the purchase, and it had to be a single item not exceeding £200. In the end my wife and I could think of nothing more useful than a #ukuelele (my second).
