@globcoco Indeed. There are unique and peaceful things you can't find anywhere else.
Something I’d ask people to consider, here and everywhere, is that if someone isn’t perceptibly responding to a situation with the grief or anger or rage you think is appropriate, it doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t care.
@adamgreenfield agree but also want to flag up nobody should judge whatever people are doing that is helping them to cope .... running a community project is a constant lurch from one crisis to another and many rural services have collapsed completely.. honestly #kdrama and #BTS have been essential to my sanity over the last couple of years.
With current UK weather warnings changing a lot as #StormGoretti moves across the country..was reminded of how much I learn about random things from #kdrama. Especially what happens around announcing weather warnings or not, impacts of getting it wrong, how climate change makes weather predictions more difficult, how local knowledge and experience can still be more accurate than any computer models...and when they get things right nobody bats an eyelid. Learned all this from Forecasting Love and Weather which is a surprisingly good workplace romance set in Korea's met office featuring Song Kang as a gangly weather nerd and Park Min Young as his older boss. 😆
great short documentary: How Netflix ruined Kdramas forever
They talk about the addictive KDrama formula and the brutal working hours of the industry. And how Netflix is ruining an already strained industry.

We've just been watching "Beyond The Bar", an entertaining lawyery #KDrama: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beyond_the_Bar
The #ProductPlacement in it is so blatant, it's insane!
They labour over some coffee-flavoured sweets, a Japanese restaurant, and some electric skin-zapping beauty thing in multiple episodes.
None of it is relevant to the story line.
We watched another one recently where they were pushing some self-parking car during a parking scene, that also had no relevance to the story line, but in this particular series it's on another level!!
I'm glad we don't allow this bollocks on stuff produced in the UK.

Just want to say how much I love the random conversations on here.. a comment from a #kdrama chum about jars of Scottish #kimchi a while ago has today led to a conversation on here about Scotland, the Netherlands, food history and the eel trade and then obvious on to @greenleejw the Surprised Eel Historian.. this could only happen on Mastodon 🦣 😀

Updating my intro post here:
I am a #foodhistory nerd who loves cooking.
I #knit, #crochet, and #sew a bit.
I enjoy #kdrama and am learning #Korean.
Professionally I manage a fleet of #robots for #softwaretesting. I am listed on a JIRA ticket as "Robot God". I didn't write it.
Which #kdrama or #cdrama taught you the most about #economics ?
I was thinking of that drama where they killed this dye maker so that the red dye would go up in value cause they had stockpiled it, and it was a trade secret now lost. But the daughter of the dyer found the recipe and got revenge somehow. Honestly I didn't see the ending.
There was also the period drama based on historical events about the poor math genius who discovered a 100 year tax scam middle men made to steal from the people.
Trying out the TAG game, but because my instance is character limited, I am doing it as a thread and adding photos.
@queerplatonicsculder
Line 1 is one character from a fandom, line 2 is two characters from another fandom,
line 3 three characters from another fandom, etc, and after line 5, it starts counting back down. after that, the one with the infinity sign is for all characters from a fandom
