I know this has been shared many times before but never by me and I did want to share it for that one person who may not know it yet (or didn't know who wrote it)

Schreibst du bitte in mein "Poesiealbum" 🖋️📖 ?
"Wer in dieses Büchlein schreibt,
den bitte ich um Sauberkeit.
Reiß' mir ja kein Blatt heraus,
sonst ist unsere Freundschaft aus."
Bitte antworte hier mit deinem schönsten, witzigsten, kitschigsten Poesie-Album-Spruch, male eine eigene Seite und/oder sende ein Foto aus deinem eigenen alten Album.
Ich möchte meiner sechsten Klasse zeigen, wie weit verbreitet diese Gedichtform war.
Danke! Bitte teilen!

I think that authors’ ghosts creep back
Nightly to haunt the sleeping shelves
And find the books they wrote.
Those authors put final, semi-final touches,
Sometimes whole paragraphs.
Whole pages are added, re-written, revised…

Good morning from Minneapolis where a dusting of snowfall is moving across the region to brighten the landscape. An inch or two when all is said and done.
Quite early Sunday morning it's 20℉; overcast skies; gusty south-southwest winds; barometer reads Fair; and visibility is 10 miles at the airport.
Heading for a high temperature of 29℉.
The Full Moon has set.
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colours from our sight
Red is grey and yellow white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion
—from Graeme Edge, "Late Lament;" The Moody Blues, "Days of Future Passed"
2026: 32 days in/333 out.
We've a long row to hoe.

Lately, my eyes—weighted by the harrowing details of genocide and worn by the dust of my home’s ruins—fail to perceive the world. Something within them falters, forcing them to forsake the silent 'spring of inanimate things' that lingers around me.
Everything has dissolved into gray, drifting in a closed loop of mute screams—audible only to the ants, the stones, the trees, and the beasts; sensed by every living pulse, save for humanity.

Art by Ravi Zupa.
Inspired by the poem “Do not go gentle into that good night” by Dylan Thomas. The general consensus of the poem is that it is about being on the threshold of and not conceding to death.
How timely.

We wake with
no words, just woe
& wound. Our own country shoot
ing us in the back is not just brutal
ity; it's jarring betrayal; not enforcement,
but execution. A message: Love your people & you

Grant me, indulgent Heaven, that I may live,
To see the miscreants feel the pains they give;
Deal Freedom’s sacred treasures free as air,
Till Slave and Despot be but things that were.
