Max, the black cat, just about tolerates Molly. But he's never affectionate with her, likes personal space, gets annoyed if she comes too close
Molly, on the other hand, adores Max. She thinks the sun shines out of his butt. Which is why she's always looking for it up there
This picture shows a rare occasion when he let her sit next to him. You can see in her eyes she knows it won't be long before he gets up and leaves in a huff

Today it's Dia del Galgo in Spain because it's the last day of the hunting season. This means 1000s if not hundreds of thousands of dogs, especially Podencos and Galgos, will be "retired" aka disposed of in horrific ways. Anything from just left to fend for themselves to shot, burned, hung, buried (alive), thrown from moving cars etc. This means all the dog shelters and rescues centers will be overwhelmed over the next few days/weeks.
So if you have a bit of spare coin please donate to a shelter of your choice. Galgos Del Sol (https://galgosdelsol.org/donate-help/) is probably the biggest one in Spain who are also working hard to change the laws and awareness about the horrors to people, through schools and television.
The photo is of our little Ms MoneyPenny the Spanish Podenco, we managed to rescue her from a forest 2 years ago. She hasn't "enjoyed" this hunting season as she is petrified of the bangs. Podencos are truly a unique dog, totally different to any other dog I've been around. Very wilful and an utter goofy clown and very often behaves like a cat, as in "you may touch me" 😉 With Penny's background she has taken some time to come out of her shell, but in the last 6 months she has started to show affection, she now loves a good morning cuddle, where she curls up into my arms and then grunts and licks my nose, I think it's her trying to purr ;)
