Pretty cold. Discoveries I made this morning:

EVA rubber boots are no longer flexible and difficult to wear until your feet warm them up.

LCD displays stop working.

The fancy microcontroller thermometer had an integer overflow and showed +64°C when it was... I guess -31 or 32? 😆

The -25°C winter wiper fluid is now solid, but it shouldn't damage the cars as it has contracted rather than expanded like water does.

The barn cat is still alive and got warm water and leftover porridge.

I am gonna wire up som lighting in a cabinet, and I am using a four pin #LED strip. There will be some gap between short runs of LEDs, and so I need some wiring between them. Trying to decide on what kind of connector I should use. I want something that can be connected without soldering, and was first thinking I should make some LED-strip->JST-connector adapter boards. But maybe there are better solutions. Anyone have any tips? Search results are depressing because of AI-slop.

I bought 20 of these CH224K-based USB-C PD boards from aliexpress and, as far as I can tell, they don't work.

I hook them up to a USB-PD supply, with a cable that works with 20V on my pinecil, and D1 blinks on and off at about 3Hz. I get 1-3v on the output regardless of the setting. I've tried four different USB-PD AC adaptors and an anker battery bank. The only time I got a different result was connecting it to a non-PD supply and it output 5V, as expected.

Any suggestions?
