If the whole history of the Earth was squeezed into one day... #dataviz
Many people track when the winter solstice is (“the days only get longer from here!”) but you may not know what your local *teletherm* is (“the days only get warmer from here!”). For us here in Boston the winter teletherm is around January 23rd. Where I used to live in Vermont it was right around Groundhog Day. It’s certainly a time for celebration! ☀️ You can find your city’s teletherm here if you know the nearest weather station: http://teletherm.org/index.html?window=25&var=summer_day&year=1960&cityID=190736 #BostonMA #dataviz #weather #wx #winter

A nice visual exploration of 1,656 conversations: 7+ million words, 850 hours.
"By the end of these conversations, several participants seemed to realize that they may never see their conversation partner again, and had to say their bittersweet goodbyes."

#RStats challenge: How to make a pie-beeswarm like this one from the Minnesota Star Tribune showing the relative sizes of ICE/CBP and local police forces?

(Challenge 2: Try not to argue about pie charts in the replies 😉)
