PERQUISITION DILIGENTÉE DANS LES LOCAUX FRANÇAIS DE X 🔎 Une perquisition est diligentée ce jour dans les locaux français de la plateforme X, dans le cadre de l’enquête ouverte en janvier 2025 par la section de lutte contre la cybercriminalité du parquet de Paris, avec l’Unité nationale cyber de la Gendarmerie nationale • UNCyber et en présence d’Europol. 🔵 Parallèlement, des convocations aux fins d’auditions libres le 20 avril 2026 à Paris ont été envoyées à Monsieur Elon MUSK et à Madame Linda YACARINO, en leur qualité de gérant de fait et de droit de la plateforme X au moment des faits. La conduite de cette enquête s’inscrit à ce stade dans une démarche constructive, dans l’objectif de garantir in fine la conformité de la plateforme X aux lois françaises, dans la mesure où elle opère sur le territoire national. 👉 Pour rappel, cette enquête a été ouverte à la suite de deux signalements reçus le 12 janvier 2025. Le 9 juillet 2025 le parquet de Paris a confié les investigations à la direction générale de la Gendarmerie Nationale (DGGN). L’enquête a été élargie à la suite d’autres signalements dénonçant le fonctionnement de Grok sur la plateforme X, ayant conduit à la diffusion de contenus négationnistes et de deepfakes à caractère sexuel. @randahl yesterday at FOSDEM there was a member of the European Parliament who was asked why so many politicians are still on X and her answer made total sense (sadly):

Politicians stay on X because journalists are still there, so they feel that if they leave they will become irrelevant / not be written about.

And journalists stay on X because politicians are there.

It’s a vicious cycle
