All I needed to fix the yard gate handle was a vise. I haven't worked much with metal, so I didn't see that thing as a tool in its own right.

My local library makerspace has a free sewing machine AND a free serger... not sure what a serger is... but it looks fancy.
Maybe..... I'll make a quick appointment to get a badge for these machines... Juuuuuust in case I wanna do more sewing in the future.
Ah damnit...
I do NOT have time... nor energy... to pick up another skillset....
But I could totally do this and make it work for exactly what I'm looking for.

This is what's going to get me into sewing finally, isn't it.

Anyone has recommendations for a good pair of crimplers that I’d buy once and never regret my choices? Something that can go from 32 to 16 awg. Asking for a friend #electronics #tools #diy
Succesknap installeret i kontoret.

I got a portion of the structure prepped for my solar panels. I'm going to come off of camp's array at an steeper angle forming a wall on the south side (camp's panels are oddly angled for max summer power. Mine will be for max winter power). I have room for 9 panels there. It's full sun all day. They'll be in series which in the coldest weather will be 490V. My AIO inverter has a PV max of 500V. So I'll have a 3kW array with the potential for 12kWh/day going to my 16kWh battery bank.
That leaves 2 extra solar panels that I can play around with for a sand battery or use to charge up my portable power station.
My 2019 MacBook Pro (2.4GHz Core i5, 8Gb RAM, 13” screen, 4 Thunderbolt ports, Touch Bar) now running an @iFixit replacement battery (today’s project) has done me all the service it needs to.
It can’t update macOS any higher than Sequoia 15.7.n, but will certainly happily continue to do that or run some flavour of Linux such as @linuxmint. The Touch Bar has the blinkies when at rest, but works.
I have the original box and power supply to go with it.
If you cover postage and the cost of the replacement battery kit (AU$200), I’m happy to send it to you anywhere in Australia.

My girlfriend is amazing! While out grocery shopping, she texts me "The question is, how much do you need this?".
I respond "Yeah, I'd unironically wear that."
She comes home and tosses me this badass t-shirt.
I spend an hour and a half later that night cutting it up and tying it back together.
*Poof* new tank in my favorite shirts drawer.

Before y'all are like "Wtf Alice, Twilight??" —I just rewatched all five of them with my other girlfriend, and they are all amazing movies...for learning how to spot every possible red flag in a relationship. And I love them. Besides, Alice is great.

I am prototyping a workshop idea for easter. Its fun but trying to center and egg is a challenge 😅 I think I have to 3D print an adapter or even the hole egg 🤔 Also attaching the egg to the motor is hard. If you use glue, the egg breaks when you take it off. For my prototype I glued a small magnet to the egg....
This will become a variation of my spin art robot. So i has to be suitable for age 8 and up: https://www.voltpaperscissors.com/spinartrobot
