Interestingly, there's a trickle of stories in the FT about investment trusts planning to reduce exposure to US (dollar denominated) shares & stocks.

The pivot away from the US in the global political economy is happening, slowly but surely reducing (further) the importance of the US market & economy to the global system.

And once this move, made in response to the Tangerine Tyrant, has been made, it won't be reversed any time soon.

The tectonic plates of economics are moving.

@greenpeace Dyed hair is not necessary and it is a bad example. However, #greenwashing is still better than nothing at all. Of course, "polluters pay" would be better, but how to achieve it in a way that is just for firms belonging to different countries? By the way, I also had the idea that all #Olympics should be "smaller", because they are risky for #economics and not #ecofriendly e.g. there is a lot of #travel involved.

Most of the commentary on national economies focusses on debt in the public sector as a risk to (fiscal) stability... but for many countries levels of private (household) debt are of similar magnitudes, yet this seems (to financial commentators) less of a risk?

Since the last global financial crisis was caused by widespread problems in institutional treatment of the risk of household default(s) on housing debt this seems, shall we say, myopic at the least.
