If you've noticed a cold going around, it would be unfortunate if you caught it and had to call in sick tomorrow.
My normal Friday involves coffee shop and computer work. I think I'll just play video games instead.

This Friday folks in Minnesota, supported by labor unions, Indivisible, and others are planning a walkout. I would like to create an online site where we could collect and display messages of support. Does anybody here have technical skills to set up collection and generate display? I have some ideas re the former but I’m not sophisticated about this sort of project/workflow. DM if you are and can help.

Despite the media clickbait about #SubcladeK being a #SuperFlu or "lethal", there's no evidence that it produces worse symptoms than typical #influenza variants, or even that it's more virulent. The vaccine still reduces hospitalization and death rates for subclade K, so it seems likely this year's increase in flu hospitalizations and deaths will be far better explained by the lower vaccination rates (in some countries) plus the early start of the flu season (in some countries) than by the mutation.

It finally hit me too. I haven't been sick in two years, but now it is my turn. This thing triggered a killer migraine and fever through the night, and now I just feel like shit, too tired to do anything, throat's wrecked, brain fog, and chills like it's freezing indoors. Everything hurts.
