Back home after another great #FOSDEM - thanks to the organizers and all the volunteers for continuously making this excellent event! It's been a long time since #Tor had an official stand at FOSDEM, but it was lovely to talk with lots of people there.

I sadly didn't get around to taking many photos, but I did catch this friendly hacker cat during the ByteNight party at Brussels hackerspace on Saturday evening.

Already looking forward to next year!

Seit Tagen fällt mir auf, dass das #Snowflake Addon im Browser im Vergleich zu sonst extrem abgeht. Was ich nur extrem schade finde, dass diese, meine Ressource verloren geht, sobald ich den Rechner herunterfahre.

Daher mein Gedanke, bei Strato so einen 1€ VPS zu mieten um dort Snowflake 24/7 laufen lassen zu können. Die Frage ist daher: Gibt es eine dausichere Anleitung, um auf einem Ubuntu VPS #Tor Snowflake zu installieren und einen stabilen Betrieb zu gewährleisten.

Kennt das Fediverse da irgendwas?

#Murena has built-in #TOR support in their #privacy manager, allowing me to selectively pick apps who are routed through TOR.

Pretty nice, but I've always considered TOR a rather slow connection compared to VPN. Speed-tested TOR on newly refreshed #eos, giving me 20+mbps whereas I was expecting 3-4mbps.

I thought I lived in the future but I've obviously been living in 2010.

The more you use it, the better protected are people in repressive countries who want to use a free internet, journalists and researchers who want to protect themselves from discovery, whistleblowers, activists, and ordinary people who want to opt out of invasive third party tracking.
