@renef Just wait until you hear where our taxes go!

@siracusa And you can't even outrun them by fleeing abroad...
I think this is a weak argument. Your supreme leader is unlikely to change his politics facing lower tax revenue. A corporation is much more likely to do that when their sales plummet (see Synology).
@renef With Apple and Google eliminated, the choices for phones are really narrowing… https://www.theverge.com/news/791533/google-apple-ice-tracking-app-store-red-dot-iceblock
More seriously, like climate change, this is a systemic issue. Individual actions (e.g., “reducing my carbon footprint”) are not the solution, and mostly serve to shift the blame.
(Well, other than voting…maybe, if we’re lucky, and if we live in the right place. There are systemic voting issues too.)
@siracusa This might be true for phones (although there are alternatives available, they are just inconvenient...see Fairphone with /e/), but it's not true for desktop computers and laptops. Lots and lots of competition and alternatives in that space. And just imagine the impact if three of the most well-known Apple nerds proclaim they're not buying new Apple products until their politics improve. Just saying.
