Hello #UnionPlace !
We have historically maintained federation with threads.net, but with a "limit" in place to make interaction intentional, in the interest of our mission to provide broad networking/communication.
More and more I'm feeling like that is the wrong decision. So, local users, please let me know: are you for, or against, continued federation with Threads? Do you get value from connections there? Or is it just noise and support for fascism and hate?
@tim I was initially fairly against defederating, but I haven't seen anything of value there...and yeah, I'm including Obama's account. Burn it :)
@tim I am personally not a fan, especially lately.
(Do note that I'm mostly on infosec.exchange which has the same limit for threads)
It is perhaps telling that our most-followed account at threads.net is @potus46archive
