#GoToSocial v0.21.0 soon probably... first RC in maybe a week or so I'd guess? It's gonna be a nice release (domain limits! among other things):

Working mutes? 🙃
@makary Not sure what you mean. We already have mutes in place, and they work.
@dumpsterqueer@gts.superseriousbusiness.org
Last time I checked the muted users were visible in my feed when someone boosted them, and the issue is still open, I didn't know it was fixed, amazing 🥳
@makary It was resolved in june 2025 or something, we just forgot to close the issue apparently: https://codeberg.org/superseriousbusiness/gotosocial/pulls/4276
Btw for future reference it's kind of annoying when someone replies to a post about something else being like "well what about this thing", so please don't do that. There's plenty of venues to poke us about issues instead of replying to unrelated posts.
Here's what the #GoToSocial domain limits stuff will let you do, when it comes out in v0.21.0, it's pretty cool!!!
@dumpsterqueer woaw, that looks like a lot of protections. Impressive.
One thing that I’m not sure to understand. All of those seem to apply to "direct" interactions: like message from user Foo matches and limit is apply. Do those limits also apply if message from user Foo (that I don’t follow) gets boosted or quoted by user Bah (that I do follow)?
@joel good questions, still kinda fiddling with that and figuring out what the best approach is 🤔
@dumpsterqueer not easy… it sounds like: do you want to trust people that you follow or do you want to enforce your filtering (that may be stronger that people you follow). Happy brain knitting 🤭
@joel haha thank you :') bloody hell
