Forcing the media to collaborate in outright lies, even when the video evidence is racing through social media and quite plainly shows what happened, is purely and simply a means of exerting control. When the lie is given credence, adding moral injury to the physical and mental agony of their victims, it makes the abuser(s) feel dominant and powerful. A world without truth is a world without consequence"
