Mastodon v4.6.7 - coming soon with RACF support!
@catsalad In university, I got chided for exploring parts of MVS that the powers that be thought were off limits. I was actually tasked with looking into the state of a sort-of-failed project, so the head of my dept gave me the brilliant guidance "try to not trip the ACLs".
So I looked at the RACF docs and some SAS conference proceedings, and in PL/1 and some assembly wrote a SAS extension to make me a nice treasure map marking the ACLs marked for alerting.
Shortly after, I got a job offer to maintain a PDP11 running this newfangled UNIX thing, so I abandoned MVS. I reported my findings up the chain and the project I looked into withered away, silently replaced with new tooling on the dept VAX/VMS.
To this day I do not know if RACF was misconfigured to allow unprivileged access to the raw cylinders that held the ACLs. But it was a hoot and I couldn't share it with anyone at the time.
@catsalad
Does it support TSO on OS/360 MVT?

I used to solve the Who problem by binding to RACF .
@catsalad is RACF a new std or drug?
